Fashion Design 1 - Explore the world of fashion in this introductory level class. The class covers fashion trends, designers, design styles, textiles, and how the history of fashion affects what is currently “in style”. Learn about color, design and create several projects. Learn how to apply the elements & principles of design to fashion. This class is project based and students will be required to complete individual sewing projects. Students will purchase project materials from local fabric stores, at a cost of $10 - $15.
Fashion Design 2 students will continue to build on fashion and construction terminology and learned in Fashion Design 1, as well as apply construction techniques to sewing projects completed during the course. Investigate the many careers within the fashion industry use your creativity to create your own fashion line. This class is project based and students will be required to complete individual sewing projects; purchasing project materials from local fabric stores, at a cost of $10- $15.
